The biennial prime textile event, The 14th International Exhibition on Textile Industry (ShanghaiTex 2009), has its grand opening today (June 12) at Shanghai New International Expo Center, Pudong, Shanghai, PR China. The 4-day show will open from June 12 - 15, 2009, it is expected to attract 100, 000 visitors from all over the world and 20 buyers groups organized by local & overseas associations and corporations to source at the exhibition.

Renowned and authoritative world business expert, Mr Long Yongtu, Secretary General of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA), and leaders from National Textile and Apparel Council, were invited to analyze the impact of financial crisis on textile industry, especially the in-depth impact on textile machinery industry; to explore how the China textile & textile machinery enterprises can make use of the industry transformation opportunity to extend the application areas of textile machineries.
To welcome the industry players, exhibitors and visitors from all over the world, organizers launched a welcome dinner on the night before the show opening. Government leaders, local & overseas associations, exhibitors and buyers gathered together for a wonderful night.
