The 14th International Exhibition on Textile Industry (ShanghaiTex 2009) Opens Grandly on June 12 - World-class Market Place for the Most Advanced Textile Machinery & Technology

The biennial prime textile event, The 14th International Exhibition on Textile Industry (ShanghaiTex 2009), has its grand opening today (June 12) at Shanghai New International Expo Center, Pudong, Shanghai, PR China. The 4-day show will open from June 12 - 15, 2009, it is expected to attract 100, 000 visitors from all over the world and 20 buyers groups organized by local & overseas associations and corporations to source at the exhibition.

With distinguished textile corporations' strong confidence in China economy, and the edges of its brand built by ShanghaiTex in previous decades, ShanghaiTex 2009 has gained great support from exhibitors and textile industry. "2009 China Textile Industry Summit" Launched One Day before ShanghaiTex 2009

"2009 China Textile Industry Summit" was held on June 11, one day prior to the opening of ShanghaiTex 2009. Renowned and authoritative world business expert, Mr Long Yongtu, Secretary General of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA), and leaders from National Textile and Apparel Council, were invited to analyze the impact of financial crisis on textile industry, especially the in-depth impact on textile machinery industry; to explore how the China textile & textile machinery enterprises can make use of the industry transformation opportunity to extend the application areas of textile machineries.

To welcome the industry players, exhibitors and visitors from all over the world, organizers launched a welcome dinner on the night before the show opening. Government leaders, local & overseas associations, exhibitors and buyers gathered together for a wonderful night.

Starting from 1984, ShanghaiTex is being held biennially in the odd-numbered years in Shanghai, PR China. It is the most historical textile exhibition in China and has become a precious national brand.
