The most expected event, The 13th International Exhibition on Textile Industry (SHANGHAITEX 2007) closed with great success at Shanghai New International Expo Centre, Pudong, Shanghai on June 4, 2007.
Over 1,400 exhibitors coming globally from 20 countries & regions and 23 Chinese provinces & cities have joined the exhibition. The show has hit its largest ever scale this year. 9 exhibition halls and 3 temporary halls were fully occupied. Exhibition area reached 120,000sqm, increased by 20% as comparing with 2005. The show made a breakthrough by grouping exhibitors according to product categories, differentiating the show of its kind which are sorted by countries. Knitting, printing & finishing equipments were the focus of the exhibition, while energy saving and environmental friendly machineries & technologies have been the highlights of the show.
SHANGHAITEX 2007, being a major textile event, was highly recognized by Chinese government & textile associations. Mr. Hu Yan Zhao, the deputy mayor of Shanghai, Mr. Wang Tian Kai, the vice president of China Textile Industry Association, Mr. Gao Yong, the vice president of China Textile Industry Association and the director-general of China Textile Machinery & Equipment Industry Association, and leaders and representatives of nationwide textile associations have visited the exhibition.
The 4-day event has recorded 108,204 visitors flow from 45 countries and regions. Among, 3,308 are professional visitors coming globally, including Bangladesh, Germany, India, Iran, Italy, Japan, Korea, Pakistan, Thailand, Turkey, United States, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, etc.
As the most influential textile exhibition in Asia, SHANGHAITEX has attracted buyers delegations from Bangladesh, Brazil, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Thailand, Turkey, Vietnam, PR China, etc, to the show.
Exhibitors were highly satisfied with the exhibition, they claimed that the show assisted them in building up their company image and make their brands known to the industry. Mr. Frank Mohr, Area Sales Manager of Hansa Mixer Industrie-Mixer GmbH & Co.KG, said "The show is pretty good. Everything is fine and the service is good. We are looking forward to the next edition of SHANGHAITEX." Mr. Xiao Fu Shun, Assistant General Manager of Dong Yang City Chuang Yi Knitting Machinery Co., Ltd., expressed, "The exhibition is very good. We used to involve in domestic sales only, and would like to develop overseas business via the platform of SHANGHAITEX. At the show, there are several overseas buyers showed interest in our products! We would like to thanks organizers and we wish SHANGHAITEX continues to grow and success!"
Visitors also showed their appreciation to SHANGHAITEX 2007. An Indian visitor, Mr. Pulak Mukherjee of PMP Global, said, "The show is very good. I am quite happy to be here. I will come back for your next show. I think SHANGHAITEX will continue its success in the future." While Mr. Qi Jian Dong of Zhejiang Netsun Co., Ltd., mentioned, "SHANGHAITEX has always been well-organized. In this edition, I see more exhibitors and they are more professional. There are different varieties of exhibits and products categorization is going to be more detailed. We have met many potential partners at the show and we are very satisfied with it."
SHANGHAITEX has been devoting to raise the standard of Chinese textile machineries since its inauguration. In this edition, numerous "China-made" machineries have been displayed along with the international brands, advancement and development of Chinese technologies were well demonstrated. According to Chinese textile industry's Eleventh Five-year Plan (2006-2010), innovation & energy saving are the main focus for textile corporations in China. Being the representing textile exhibition in PR China, SHANGHAITEX has been working with the industrial professionals towards this direction.
Trade liaison office was arranged onsite to assist associations, exhibitors & visitors for business communications, and office for intellectual property rights has also been set up to solve the legal issues. These services provided by organizers are highly appreciated by both exhibitors and visitors.
With the successful closing of SHANGHAITEX 2007, exhibitors are confident of the show and are planning for participating in next edition. The 14th International Exhibition on Textile Industry (SHANGHAITEX 2009) will be held on June 12 - 15, 2009, it is believed that there will be another climax in next edition.
