With more than 20 years experience & its high commitment in bringing business opportunities to exhibitors and buyers, The 13th International Exhibition on Textile Industry (SHANGHAITEX 2007) will be staged again at Shanghai New International Expo Centre, Pudong, Shanghai from June 1 - 4, 2007.

Odd-number year is a regular year for SHANGHAITEX. In 2007 edition, it is expected that the scale of exhibition will reach 120,000sqm, showing 20% increase comparing with 2005. The show will occupy 9 exhibition halls, with Knitting, Hosiery, Printing, Dyeing & Finishing machinery in 5 halls of West Wing, while 4 other halls in East Wing will focus on Spinning, Weaving, Spare Parts & Accessories.

The exhibition will make a breakthrough by grouping exhibitors according to product categories, differentiating the show of its kind which are sorted by countries. Numerous product zones will be specifically set up, including Knitting & Hosiery Machinery Zone, Group Participation Zone, Printing, Dyeing & Finishing Machinery Zone, Spinning, Techtextile & Nonwoven Machinery Zone, Weaving Machinery Zone, Spare Parts & Accessories Zone, etc. The organizers are pleased to announce that SHANGHAITEX is the first international textile show in China to group exhibitors by their product types. This innovative action is appreciated by exhibitors and will bring convenience to buyers for their visiting. In addition, business-matching services will be introduced as a value-added component to worldwide exhibitors and buyers.

Export of China's textile machinery has been growing rapidly in recent years. Exporting value in the first half of 2006 reached USD 565 millions, with 40.84% growth comparing with the same period in 2005. Annual importing amount on textile machinery kept at USD 3.5 billions in recent 3 years, while domestic demand maintained at around USD 8 billions since 2003. With the blooming growth of Chinese economy and the positive impact of WTO on Chinese textile industry, there is accelerating market demand on professional textile exhibition. With its professionalism and more than 20 years experience, SHANGHAITEX 2007 is expecting to attract more exhibitors & visitors to participate than 2005.

Results of SHANGHAITEX 2005 were very encouraging. Over 1,400 exhibitors coming from 23 countries and areas joined the exhibition, including Austria, Belgium, Canada, PR China, Taiwan Province, France, Germany, Netherlands, Hong Kong SAR, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Macau SAR, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom and USA. Among them, 10 countries and areas including Italy, Germany, etc have organized pavilions to participate. Total exhibition area reached 100,660sqm, all the indoor halls & temporary outdoor halls are fully occupied.

2005 show has attracted over 120,000 professional visitors, with 9,000 overseas buyers coming from 60 countries and areas, including Hong Kong SAR, Taiwan Province, Bangladesh, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Germany, Malaysia, Pakistan, Peru, Russia, Syria, Thailand, Turkey, USA, Vietnam, etc. Local visitors from over 30 provinces & cities have also visited the show.
